Shanan M. Egger

Shanan M Egger, CEOAs Co-Founder and CEO, Shanan Egger leads the finance and accounting services for EaB Solutions, Inc.’ clients and originated our unique approach to non-profit consulting. In providing audit services, he often made recommendations for improved management efficiency and stronger fundraising program. In turn, clients asked him for reliable experts in these fields. Mr. Egger first turned to Steve Baldwin and together they have built EaB Solutions, Inc.’s talented team of professionals.

Mr. Egger has over 20 years of experience in health care, education, arts, housing, and social services fields. He has a wide range of financial management expertise including budgeting, forecasting, cash management, grant management, auditing, taxation, cost analysis, reporting and internal control/policy.

He has worked with a number of funding sources including the Department of Human Services, Department of Children and Family Services, Illinois State Board of Education, US Department of Housing and Urban Development, US Department of Health and Human Services and many others throughout federal, state, county, and local government. He also has experience in areas related to human resources and information systems.

As the Interim Executive Director, Infant Welfare Society of Chicago, Mr. Egger made an immediate impact by increasing revenue and decreasing operational expenses,(without cutting compensation). He created and implemented strategies that quantitatively increased and systemically improved the overall patient experience. 

As CFO, OMNI Youth Services, Mr. Egger has rectified internal control issues, restored credibility to the finance department, and created a "partnership" with program services. All audit concerns and management recommendations prior to his arrival were eliminated and no audit adjustments were necessary going forward. Additionally, the unit cost structured deployed by Mr. Egger including his time study approach has been recommended to other public agencies as a best practice and adopted by many as a policy and protocol.


Steven Baldwin
Senior Advisor and Co-Founder

Steven BaldwinAs Co-Founder of EaB Solutions, Inc., Steven Baldwin brings a strong mix of non-profit  business management and fundraising skills to the table. By joining forces with Mr. Egger, Mr. Baldwin helped shape the comprehensive business consulting philosophy of the company. 

His experience as consultant to and manager in the non-profit sector spans more than fifteen years, and includes work with healthcare, educational, arts, social services and animal welfare organizations. As Regional Foundation and Marketing Director of the Petco Foundation, he created and implemented business and marketing strategies across the Midwest. He served as Chief Development Officer at Joliet Catholic Academy, where he was responsible for all financial, marketing and fund development operations while leading a successful team in a major capital campaign and launching a five-year resource development plan.

Most recently, Mr. Baldwin served as Chief Strategy and Development Officer for OMNI Youth Services where he championed a comprehensive brand equity campaign that realized double digit increases in market presence. As Senior Director, Major Gifts for Resurrection Health Care in Chicago, he provided leadership and hands-on participation in the ongoing giving programs, while working to monitor and modify income development and financial models.

At the Harris Theatre for Music and Dance in Millennium Park (Chicago), he successfully identified and expanded corporate sponsorship opportunities and led efforts to build brand equity and financial strength in concert with the organization’s mission. Mr. Baldwin has also served as Interim, President of the Marquette General Foundation in Michigan as well as the CEC/Seabee Historical Foundation in Gulfport, Mississippi both in a strategic planning and fund development capacity.

Mr. Baldwin is a member of the faculty at Robert Morris University, College of Business and has an MBA in marketing and an undergraduate degree in economics, both of which he has employed in overseeing sales, marketing and management initiatives, both domestically and abroad, for retail and manufacturing as well as non-profit organizations.
